PM congratulates Jews on Passover

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili congratulated the Jewish people on Pesach (Passover) holiday.

“I wholeheartedly wish a happy beginning of Pesach to our Jewish compatriots and the Jews who have returned to their historical homeland of Israel.

This glorious celebration of the physical and spiritual liberation of the Jews is important to any freedom-loving nation, including us Georgians who enjoy millennia-old brotherhood and friendship with Jews.

Consequently, together with our country’s citizens, I join you in your celebration with all my heart and soul. I wish peace, prosperity, and progress to you and your families,” the PM said.

Passover is celebrated by Jews every year, commemorating the Biblical story of the Israelites’ escape from slavery in Egypt. Jewish people celebrate Pesach (Passover) from April 5 to April 13 this year.
