PM assesses sanctions from Estonia as "extremely unfriendly move"

“Imposition of sanctions by Estonia is an extremely unfriendly move,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

According to the PM, the Georgian government remains in a unilateral friendship regime with Estonia.

“Estonia had imposed sanctions before, which is an extremely unfriendly move toward the Georgian people, our country. We remain in a unilateral friendship regime. This is our political decision,” he said.

On May 8, the Government of Estonia decided to impose a visa requirement for holders of Georgian diplomatic passports. Before that, on March 3, the Estonian Foreign Ministry said it banned entry to the country for 83 Georgian citizens.
