PM accuses National Movement of trying to escalate situation with aggression
The National Movement is trying to escalate the situation with aggression, but they will not achieve this, – Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze told journalists when commenting on the developments in Zugdidi city of western Samegrelo region.
Bakhtadze promised that elections would be held in a peaceful and free environment not only in Zugdidi but in all constituencies.
“Elections will be held in accordance with highest standards, in a peaceful and free environment, not only in Zugdidi, but everywhere. Unfortunately, the National Movement is trying to escalate the situation with aggression, but they will not achieve this.
These elections will be held in a free and democratic environment and each of us, as well as the international community, will once again see that elections are always free in Georgia,” Bakhtadze said.
By-elections will be held in Georgia on May 19.
