Officers from the Tbilisi Main Division of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA) have detained an individual, identified as D.K., born in 2002, on suspicion of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage, and sale of narcotics, as well as the unlawful possession and storage of ammunition.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, patrol officers stopped the individual while he was walking through Tbilisi for identification purposes.
“During a personal search, law enforcement officers discovered and confiscated 30 packets of the narcotic substance ‘marijuana,’ packaged for sale, which have been taken as evidence.
Ammunition cartridges were also seized from the suspect’s residence.
The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260, 260-4, and 236 of the Criminal Code, which stipulate penalties of up to ten years’ imprisonment,” the Ministry stated.
