Patriarch's secretary COVID-negative amid rumors

The personal physician of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, Tsisana Shartava, does not confirm the report that the Patriarch’s secretary Shorena Tetruashvili has tested Covid-19 positive.

According to Tsisana Shartava, the Patriarch’s secretary was self-isolated due to contact with an infected priest. She did not undergo the coronavirus test so far.

The doctor explains that the infected priest did not have any contact with the Patriarch.

“We have strict preventive measures in the Patriarchate. That is why Shorena Tetruashvili moved to isolation and left the residence of the Patriarchate”, Tsisana Shartava added.
