The Patriarchate of Georgia released a statement over the recent terror attack on Christchurch’s Al Noor mosque in New Zealand.
The Patriarchate expresses sorrow of the attack on a mosque and condemns violence. “We express our deep concern over the attack on the mosque in New Zealand and offer sympathy to the families of the victims, the people of New Zealand, all Muslims and anyone for whom violence and extremism are unacceptable. We condemn terrorism and pray for peace,” the Patriarch’s statement reads.
Christchurch’s Al Noor mosque reopened its doors today, eight days after they were shuttered in the wake of the killing of 50 Muslims in the worst mass shootings in New Zealand’s modern history.
