Patriarch: Not be afraid when God sends ordeal, it is a path leading to the Kingdom of heaven
Today is the day when we celebrate glorious entry of Jesus to Jerusalem – Catholicos Patriarch of all Georgia, his Holiness and Beatitude, Ilia II has addressed to parish.
Patriarch held a Divine Liturgy at Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral.
The Patriarch congratulated the parish on the day and noted that joy and sorrow as twin brothers are together.
“Congratulations on this great day, once again, we should remember that joy and sorrow as twin brothers travel together, are together. Today is the day when our Lord Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem in triumph. It is written in the Gospel, that the whole city shacked, and the whole city was joyfully praising God. But the Lord saw the future and cried, he knew that these people who were glorifying him now, would call out “Crucify him!” three days later. Not be afraid when God sends ordeal, it is a path leading to the Kingdom of Heaven. God bless you, God bless the whole Georgia “, – Patriarch said.
