Participant in Abu Dhabi incident involving MPs reports attack

Lasha Gabitashvili, a participant in the Abu Dhabi incident involving Georgian Dream MPs, reported that three masked individuals attacked him while walking his dog.

Gabitashvili perceives the attack as retribution linked to the recent developments in Abu Dhabi.

“You will not frighten anyone. It is high time for new elections to be scheduled and for all those imprisoned to be released. Let them hit and beat me. We live here. We will continue to live here while these individuals will ultimately flee. Congratulations, you executed that well. You look ridiculous watching me at 9 a.m. walking my dog outside. Nobody is frightened, and we will achieve our goal. I don’t know who they were. I was simply walking my dog when three masked assailants attacked me. I will call the police, describe the scene, and pursue this incident,” he stated.

“They are bogeymen—jealous, unjust people, nothing more. They probably missed something in their childhood; otherwise, I have no problems at all. I am fine,” he added, asserting, “We are not going to live like this.”

For information, a physical confrontation occurred between the Georgian Dream party MPs Irakli Zarkua and Victor Sanikidze and citizen Lasha Gabitashvili in Abu Dhabi earlier this year. Footage of the incident has circulated on social media.
