Parliamentary majority leader says no evidence of Georgia's bypassing sanctions

Mamuka Mdinaradze, leader of the parliamentary majority said that there is no evidence confirming Georgia’s being “a black hole” bypassing internationally imposed sanctions against Russia.

According to Mdinaradze, Radio Liberty lied and the fake information it released aims to tarnish Georgia’s image.

“This fake information aims to drag Georgia into the war and to tarnish the country’s international image, to make the world speak about how Georgia is observed in circumvention of sanctions. Georgia is an exemplary country and there is no evidence to confirm such a fact,” he said.

Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili wrote on social network: “No country does more than Georgia to enforce international sanctions, it’s time to end the orchestrated campaign of defamation.”
