Parliament Vice-Speaker calls European Parliament’s decision “historic”
The European Parliament has never adopted a joint document regarding the territorial integrity of Georgia, – First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia Tamar Chugoshvili said.
According to Chugoshvili, the decision made by the European Parliament is historic, and the unanimous support for the document confirms that European politicians unanimously support Georgia’s territorial integrity.
“The European Parliament made a historic decision – it adopted a resolution on the territorial integrity of Georgia, the problem of occupation, the issue of IDPs, the deaths of Tatunashvili and Otkhozoria for the first time and the resolution passed by the Parliament of Georgia. The European Parliament has never adopted a joint document regarding the territorial integrity of Georgia. Ten years after the 2008 war, it is very important that the European countries constantly have the issue of Georgia’s territorial integrity on the agenda.
The decision made by the European Parliament is historic, and the unanimous support for the document confirms that European politicians unanimously support Georgia’s territorial integrity,” Chugoshvili said.
