Today, the Georgian Parliament will interview nine judicial candidates nominated by the High Council of Justice (HCoJ) earlier in June.
MPs will hear from two candidates in a day. The first hearing will start at 10 am, while the second one at 6 pm.
This issue triggered a row between the political parties. The opposition believes this move contradicts Charles Michel’s paper until thorough reform of the justice system that the ruling team opposes.
The High Council of Justice nominated nine candidates to Parliament. The international organizations in Georgia will monitor the process.
