Within two weeks, the Georgian Parliament will hold a confidence vote in the new Prime Minister and Government as Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili resigned on Monday.
A government program and new composition of the government must be submitted to Parliament within nine days after the PM’s resignation.
Based on the recommendations of parliamentary committees and factions, the Parliamentary Bureau will schedule a vote of confidence in the composition of Georgia’s government and a government program for a parliamentary plenary session.
As per the rule, by a majority vote, Parliament gives its confidence to the PM or the government.
