The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, accompanied by a delegation, has departed for New Delhi on an official visit.
According to the Georgian Parliament, the Speaker is scheduled to hold high-level meetings in the Indian capital.
“Shalva Papuashvili will meet with the Speakers of both the Lower and Upper Houses of the Indian Parliament, as well as senior officials of the Indian government. This marks the first-ever official visit by a high-ranking Georgian official in the history of Georgia-India bilateral relations,” the Georgian Parliament stated.
The delegation, led by Shalva Papuashvili, comprises Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Shota Berekashvili, Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee, Vasil Chigogidze, Head of the Friendship Group with India, and Greta Tsitsava, Deputy Chair of the Georgian Dream faction.
