Parliament Speaker – If Anaklia Development Consortium does not fulfill obligations, we should continue work to carry out the project
If Anaklia Development Consortium does not fulfil obligations, we should continue work to carry out the project – Archil Talakvadze, Parliament Speaker said. Talakvadze claimed that the Georgian government fulfilled its commitments fully and redirection of allegations in its address is groundless.
“Port infrastructure is very important for our country. If the Consortium and private sector do not fulfil their obligations, the public will see it, and we should continue efforts and work so that the project is carried out,” Talakvadze said.
On October 16, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Infrastructure released a statement based on which the government gives Anaklia Development Consortium the opportunity to use all the available resources and fulfil the financial obligations with the use of both its own capital and finances from international banks by the end of 2019.
