PACE President calls on interested political sides to refrain from groundless accusations
Rik Daems, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) said he regretted about the “groundless attack” on Tiny Kox, Dutch MEP, who headed the election observer mission of PACE at 2020 parliamentary elections in Georgia.
“His statements reflect the position of the PACE and we received them together with our partners within the framework of the international election observer mission. Although, everyone has the right not to agree with our findings and conclusions, but the engagement of the international observer mission should not be questioned. Therefore, I call on all interested political parties to refrain from making groundless accusations,” Rik Daems said.
Mikehil Saakashvili, former president of Georgia called Tiny Kox, Dutch MP, who headed a 9-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) at Georgian 2020 parliamentary elections, an agent of Russian Federal Security Service.
