The search operation for three missing individuals in Khidari village, located in the Sakraula Gorge, continues, according to the Imereti Regional Administration.

The locations of two men, Tariel Khetsadze and Grigol Beradze, have been determined, while the whereabouts of the third man, Merab Kochadze, remain unknown.

“Their locations are approximately three kilometres apart from each other. The snow cover is more than three meters deep.

The residential houses of two individuals have already been identified, where traces in the snow have been recorded. Currently, observation of the third person’s residence, which is located in the mountains, is being carried out. Their movement is being monitored from the Vardzia direction. Additionally, a local initiative group is working to clear the roads,” reads the information from the regional administration.

The search-and-rescue efforts involve the Defence Forces and officers from the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), with drones monitoring the area.
