Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation offers condolences following blogger Daur Buava’s death

The Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of young blogger Daur Buava.

“For his personal commitment and active peacebuilding efforts aimed at fostering reconciliation and dialogue between members of Georgian and Abkhaz societies, Daur Buava was a prominent recipient of the Peace Award for Youth, established at the initiative of the Office of the State Minister.

We extend our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family and loved ones of Daur Buava,” the State Minister’s Office said in an official statement.

For context, blogger Daur Buava was found dead at his residence on 28 August.
