At the municipal government meeting, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze shared that starting today, there will be a fleet of nine MAN buses, which are 18 meters long, operating on route N302 towards the Didi Dighomi district.

Kakha Kaladze said that purchasing 18-meter-long buses was one of the priorities of the transport policy to “make public transport most comfortable and quick.”

The new buses are adapted for people with limited physical capabilities. They are equipped with modern air conditioning, heating, ventilation, security, and audio-visual systems.

Kakha Kaladze added that Tbilisi City Hall will import 160 18-meter-long buses; 50 such buses are already in Tbilisi, and 40 will be purchased shortly.

According to the Tbilisi Mayor, challenges remain, but resolving problems takes time.

“We continue to work within the transport policy, and we will hold many interesting events and implement the project, which is important in this direction,” he said.
