MPs, whose authority was approved during the parliament sitting on Tuesday, requested the Parliament Bureau to become members of different parliamentary committees.

Opposition MPs who took up seats of the Alliance of Patriots after the first three members on the party list renounced their mandates filed applications to the Parliament Bureau.

Avtandil Enukidze applied for membership in the Defense and Security Committee. Fridon Injia wished to join the Branch Economy and Economic Policy Committee, as well as the Committees on Diaspora and Caucasus Issues.

Davit Zilpimiani applied for the Committees on Education, Science, and Culture, as well as Foreign Relations.

Gela Mikadze applied to the Bureau to join the Committee on Branch Economics and Economic Policy.

Levan Mgaloblishvili, who replaced Giorgi Gakharia on the Georgian Dream party list, joined the Georgian Dream faction and the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules.

Gela Mikadze stated at the parliament today that the MPs from the Alliance of Patriots list would form the European Socialists party in the parliament. He added that boycotting the parliament work is wrong amid the challenges in the country.
