New Year’s illuminations to light up Tbilisi on December 12

The installation of New Year’s illuminations is already underway across Tbilisi.

During the municipal government meeting, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced that the illuminations will be officially lit up in a festive ceremony on December 12. He also called on local businesses to actively participate in the city’s New Year celebrations.

“Tbilisi City Hall is preparing for Christmas and New Year festivities. The city is already installing the illuminations, which will be officially lit up on December 12. This year, I would like to encourage private companies and the business sector to be involved in these celebrations.

It is important that as many organisations as possible participate in fostering a joyful and festive atmosphere in the capital. As you know, we allocate special areas, including parks and squares, where businesses have the opportunity to display their own New Year’s lights.

Together, we are all shaping a warm and cheerful New Year’s spirit in the city, and I am confident that your participation will be as strong as ever this year, which would be greatly appreciated,” stated Kakha Kaladze.

Kaladze has instructed Deputy Mayor Andria Basilaia to initiate proactive communication with the business community regarding this matter.
