New living district to be built for Georgian soldiers at Makhata Mount
A new living district will be built for Georgian soldiers and their families at Makhata Mount in Tbilisi – Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and Defense Minister Levan Izoria held the presentation of the project.
The 700 soldiers will receive flats at the initial stage; their number will be increased up to 2 thousand in the future. According to PM, improvement of living conditions to the soldiers is important for the government.
“All those, who serve in the Georgian Armed Forces, have to feel that the government does its best to appreciate their work, bravery and faithfulness to the motherland,” Bakhtadze said and added that 40% of the cost of a new apartment will be covered by the government.
April 30 is the Day of Georgian Army. The Georgian Armed Forces celebrate the 28th anniversary of the establishment today.
