The National Environment Agency issued an alert about the weather forecast for February 8-10.
According to the NEA, heavy rains are expected in western Georgia from February 8 to the morning of February 10.
Strong winds are expected to blow across the majority of the Georgian territory on February 9. Snow, dense fog and avalanche threats are expected in the mountainous regions.
“Traffic restrictions may be imposed on certain roads due to heavy snowfall, poor visibility, blizzards and avalanche threats. Heavy rains may cause swelling of small rivers and formation-activation of the land sliding process in the mountainous zones (threat level – medium),” the NEA said.
