President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Natia Turnava participated in the conference titled “Overcoming Geo-Economic Fragmentation” held in Amsterdam for the governors of the central banks from the IMF’s Netherlands-Belgium-Luxembourg Group.
Natia Turnava met the IMF executive director and alternative director to review future cooperation prospects. The conference participants discussed the effects of geopolitical shocks on economies, geo-economic challenges and response strategies.
Klaas Knot, President of the Netherlands Bank; Alfred Kammer, Director of the European Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF); Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General of the Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission and managers of central banks participated in the conference.
The IMF’s Netherlands-Belgium-Luxembourg Group unites Georgia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Andorra, Armeniა, Cyprus, North Macedonia, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine.
