NBG, Bank of Korea sign bilateral agreement within Knowledge Partnership Program

The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) hosted representatives of the Bank of Korea and the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute. During the meeting, the sides signed a bilateral agreement within the Knowledge Partnership Program.

According to the NBG, the 2026 program focuses on the theme: “Open Banking and Open Finance as a competitive alternative to traditional payment infrastructure.” The project aims to share international experience on the development of an open finance ecosystem in Georgia and to support the establishment of an appropriate regulatory, institutional, and technical model.

Korean experts will jointly work with the NBG team on the concept of an open finance ecosystem within the Knowledge Partnership Program.
