NBG Acting President meets EBRD Managing Director

Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Natia Turnava met with the Managing Director and the Head of the Financial Institutions Group at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Francis Malige, and members of the Board of Directors. The Director, Regional Head of the Caucasus for the EBRD, Alkis Drakinos also attended the meeting.

According to the NBG press office, the parties discussed the long-term cooperation, current and future projects, and the achieved results. The EBRD’s leading role in the development of the Georgian financial sector was emphasized.

Francis Malige expressed readiness that the EBRD will continue to support important reforms in the Georgian financial sector and provide technical assistance.
