MP Nato Chkheidze quit Patriots’ Alliance Party. Chkheidze made the statement about her quitting the party during the plenary session. She named insufficient support on part of her co-mates regarding Iberia TV issue.
“A governmental attack was carried out on the media and business. Iberia TV is in danger. The enterprise of Omega Group, where about 1500 people are employed, is closed. This event caused public and oppositional parties’ protest. Unfortunately, Patriots’ Alliance did not raise concern over the issue,” Chkheidze said.
Chkheidze also expressed hope that another MP would be found in the parliament who would become her replacement in the party.
