National Security Council to develop principles for early warning system
The Office of the National Security Council will develop the principles for implementing and managing an early warning system for the population during emergencies, the Office of the National Security Council reported.
During a meeting of the inter-departmental working group, led by the head of the Council’s office, Levan Ghirsiashvili, the focus was on developing recommendations for the government and preparing a draft resolution to establish an early warning system in the country. The discussions highlighted the importance of ensuring the proper functioning of this system and managing it effectively.
“This is a comprehensive issue that goes beyond merely installing alarm sirens. It encompasses multiple components, including active community involvement. We are partnering with the United Nations Development Program on this project, for which I would like to express my gratitude, along with thanks to the foreign experts involved. If needed, we plan to bring in additional expert resources from our partner countries,” said Levan Ghirsiashvili.
