National Security Council Meeting held, noting that no need exists at present to declare a State of Emergency
Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia led a National Security Council meeting today.
According to Press Service of the Government Administration, the current situation witnessed on the background of a novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) influx has been discussed at the meeting. A special focus has been made on the risks associated with economic security and challenges in a short- and long-term perspective.
In addition, it was mentioned at the National Security Council meeting that no need exists at present to declare a State of Emergency in the country, though the Government of Georgia has been adhering to the specific Action Plan since the first day of the calamity and will take decisions as things progress.
