The Georgian National Environment Agency has issued a warning regarding deteriorating weather conditions anticipated on May 18-19. According to the agency, strong winds, heavy rains, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are forecast across most regions of Georgia from the second half of the day on May 18 until the morning of May 19.
The Agency warned that the heavy rainfall could lead to the swelling of small rivers and trigger landsliding processes in mountainous areas, posing a medium-level threat.
