National Environment Agency warns of blizzards, avalanches

Georgian National Environment Agency warned of weather conditions worsening on December 23-26 with heavy snowfall, blizzards, strong wind, dense fog, and a storm at the sea.

The Agency said that traffic restrictions might be imposed at certain road sections due to heavy snowfall and poor visibility.

Abundant precipitation can cause swelling of small rivers and the formation-activation of landslide and avalanche processes in the mountainous regions, it said.
