National Center for Disease Control gives recommendations

The National Center for Disease Control has issued the recommendations in connection with the summer season.

Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the Center for Disease Control, stated that compared to last summer, the temperature will be one degree higher, which could increase risk of burns and various infectious diseases.

“People should have information regarding hot days. Especially vulnerable are the elder people, children and patients with chronic diseases. So these people and everyone should follow elementary rules, ” – Amiran Gamkrelidze Head of NCDC said.

According to him, people should not spend a lot of time under the sun and in the daytime they should be mainly in closed buildings.

According to him, at high temperatures there is a great threat of spreading infectious diseases, which are transferred by water, as well as polluted food, insects, ticks and mosquitoes. “We should conduct appropriate preventive measures” – he added.
