The Municipal Development Fund of the Infrastructure Ministry announced a competition for the Tbilisi Concert Hall’s (Philarmonics) reconstruction project.

The project aims to reconstruct the building in line with modern requirements, integrating enjineering systems but restoring the Philarmonics initial architectural look.

The project should include the documentation on reconstruction expenses and a maintenance guide. A stage, communications, elevators and security, heating/conditioning, ventilation and accoustic systems should be modernized. The building should be adapted for the needs of physically disabled persons.

“After the project is completed, the Philharmonics will once again become a multifunctional cultural space that will host large-scale local and international events,” the Ministry of Infrastructure said.

The Municipal Development Fund invited all interested architects and organizations to participate in the competition and contribute to the historic project’s successful implementation with their expertise and visions.
