“We remember full well the names and surnames of those from the United National Movement who had bought tickets to flee Georgia, with some already crossing border checkpoints, when they announced that Russian troops were supposedly advancing on Tbilisi,” stated Georgian Dream member, MP Zviad Shalamberidze.

According to Shalamberidze, their Speaker of Parliament was suggesting that citizens should arm themselves with spades and hoes to face the enemy.

“Saakashvili voluntarily renounced his Georgian citizenship and is no longer a citizen of this country. Whether Saakashvili fled Georgia is another matter, but today it is a citizen of Ukraine who is holding forth on all of this,” Zviad Shalamberidze declared.
