MP Samkharadze expects Baltic MEPs to spout nonsense in empty EP as they spiral into absurdity
“Today, faces familiar to us from the Baltic states will appear in the European Parliament. The discussion will take place in an empty chamber, and they will talk about the supposed catastrophic situation in Georgia,” said MP Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament.
According to Samkharadze, a great deal of nonsense will be uttered in the European Parliament today.
“Today, familiar faces from the Baltic states will be present in the European Parliament. The chamber will be empty, yet they will discuss how Georgia is supposedly worse off than the Soviet Union, with a pro-Putin government, pursuing Russian interests, and aiding Russia’s war efforts in Ukraine. They will spout so many absurdities, and at the end, they will add yet another piece of nonsense, claiming that the Georgian government is using chemical substances from the First World War against its people. When the debates commence, they will even suggest that Georgia dropped an atomic bomb. They will say all manner of ridiculous things, because they have clearly fallen into a spiral of nonsense,” Samkharadze said.
