“Radicals have zero chance in the upcoming local government elections; they couldn’t even agree on common candidates. The only thing that unites them is their hatred of Georgia,” said MP Davit Matikashvili, a member of the parliamentary majority.

Matikashvili asserted that the collective ‘National Movement’ stands no chance against the will of the Georgian people.

“In reality, radicals have no chance in these elections and are well aware of it. They couldn’t agree on shared candidates to challenge the Georgian Dream. Today, they are meeting abroad to discuss these issues, but who are they? Giorgi Gakharia, known for his defection and betrayal within our country, is a constituent of the ‘National Movement’. On the other hand, Lelo is a party of swindlers linked to the same collective ‘National Movement’. The only thing uniting these forces is their hatred for Georgia itself.

Since 2012, the United National Movement has continually sought to manipulate election processes to illegitimately seize power without a proper vote. This has been impossible so far, and it remains so now and in the future. They have no chance of overcoming the will of the Georgian people. A clear example is the 2024 parliamentary elections, where, despite all their efforts, they failed to influence the electorate. Our society has made the right decision for our country,” Matikashvili stated.
