MP Makhashvili: Amid infighting and vendettas, opposition values remain clear, measured strictly in cash, currency, and self-interest

“The true face and core values of the opposition were laid bare during their time in power, and we remember all too well the state to which they reduced the country,” declared MP Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary European Integration Committee.

According to Makhashvili, the current wave of personal rivalries and vendettas within opposition ranks once again underscores their fundamental priorities.

“These values are measured strictly in currency, money, and personal gain. Such is the inevitable fate of anyone for whom national interests are of secondary importance and who remains in politics solely for self-enrichment.

The controversy over the 40 million is far from unprecedented. It is a direct continuation of the reckless political behaviour seen during their time in power, which persists now in their pseudo-opposition role.

This political circus neither began nor will it end with this episode. We can afford to watch this process unfold with a smile and take satisfaction in it, because ultimately, it serves the best interests of the state,” Makhashvili stated.
