MP Levan Machavariani: Opposition has no plan, but Nika Gvaramia really emerged from prison with original hairstyle
Levan Machavariani, a member of the parliamentary majority, asserts that the opposition remains marginalised and lacks the popular support resources.
Regarding Nika Gvaramia’s release from prison and his recent statements, Machavariani emphasises that there have been no political prisoners in Georgia since 2012.
“The radical opposition has no resources. They lack both a plan and a vision. They are marginalised from start to finish. Society perceives them as agents hired from abroad. They do not enjoy the support of our people. They have no plan, but Nika Gvaramia really did come out of prison with an original hairstyle.
As for political prisoners, there have been none in Georgia since 2012. Regarding former officials, these individuals are accused in specific cases, as the courts have ruled,” Machavariani stated.
Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the Ahali party, has been released from prison. Speaking to journalists, Gvaramia said: “I consider those GD supporters in prison as political prisoners because they did not get a fair trial, and they hardly will face one.”
