MP Kadagishvili: EC study confirms Georgia’s strong institutions; we aim to climb higher in rankings

“The European Commission’s study confirms that Georgia’s state institutions are robust. Our goal is to make these achievements even more visible and to climb higher in the rankings,” said Irakli Kadagishvili, a member of Georgian Dream.

Commenting on the Strong Institutions Index published by the European Commission, Kadagishvili highlighted that Georgia scored 63% under a 100% evaluation system, placing it 34th globally. In terms of institutional strength, Georgia surpasses all candidate countries for EU membership and ranks ahead of 13 EU and NATO member states.

“The latest study also demonstrates that our state institutions are sustainable and strong. But what does this mean? It means that Georgia maintains peace, safeguards human rights, keeps crime under control, and implements numerous social programmes in healthcare and education. Our economy is growing, and people’s lives are improving. Strong institutions also mean minimal corruption and a high level of transparency; Georgia leads globally in this regard. These are tangible results, but our ambition is to make them even more evident and to advance further in these rankings,” Kadagishvili stated.
