MP Irakli Cheishvili: Opposition will disintegrate before 2028 elections as long as Mikheil Saakashvili and UNM dictate terms
“The opposition is engulfed in crisis. They have attempted to unite time and again, yet they have fractured so many times they have set a record,” parliamentary majority MP Irakli Cheishvili declared.
According to Cheishvili, infighting within the opposition ranks will persist indefinitely, both before and after elections, as they remain fundamentally incapable of finding common ground.
“So long as the United National Movement (UNM) and Mikheil Saakashvili remain their flagship, they will never find common ground. What is unfolding within the opposition is grist to our mill; they are tearing each other apart. That is how they will remain right up to the 2028 elections.
Any coalition they attempt will fail; they will disintegrate into prime factors and won’t even make it to the elections. No matter what configuration they adopt for the parliamentary contest, total collapse is inevitable; their defeat is guaranteed.
As long as the United National Movement and Mikheil Saakashvili dictate the order of play in the opposition, they will never reach an understanding. Mind you, Gvaramia is no different from them either. These individuals were in power and committed countless misdeeds,” Irakli Cheishvili stated.
