MP Ionatamishvili: Critics of education reform are those who oppose nation; they now side with illiteracy
“Education reform is of paramount importance for the state, particularly for the future generation. So far, we have not heard any meaningful or substantive criticism of the reform from any quarter,” stated MP Rati Ionatamishvili, Chairman of the Parliament’s Human Rights Committee.
He added that the reform is criticised by those groups who, every time an important issue for Georgia is at stake, adopt anti-state and anti-national stances.
“These are the same individuals who support inflated prices during sales and, when we advocate for peace, find themselves on the side of war. It is therefore no surprise that these same people have now aligned themselves with illiteracy during the education reform,” Ionatamishvili concluded.
