MP Gorduladze criticises MEP Juknevičienė's dehumanising rhetoric and her role in European resolutions on Georgia

“Rasa Juknevičienė is the individual who refers to more than 1.2 million supporters of the Georgian Dream as parasites. Her vocabulary aligns with the language used in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s, reflecting attempts at dehumanisation,” said MP Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs.

He added that the resolution drafted by her is worth no more than the paper it is printed on.

“We remember many resolutions passed by the European Parliament that were based on lies, saturated with misinformation, and aimed at interfering in Georgia’s internal affairs. We are now witnessing a similar case. It is noteworthy that, on the one hand, resolutions are being initiated in the European Parliament, while on the other hand, European ambassadors in Georgia are calling for sanctions against Russia, urging us to collapse our economy and plunge the country into war.

Our society is convinced that the threats and challenges facing Georgia remain. Now is the time for the Georgian nation to unite against external interference, whose goal is to bring specific individuals and agencies into our country, and then organise a second front to drag Georgia into the same chaos engulfing our friend Ukraine,” Gorduladze stated.

Today, a report on Georgia, authored by Rasa Juknevičienė, was heard at the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.
