Ministry of Economy reports 7.6% average growth for January-October 2025
According to the Ministry of Economy of Georgia, the country’s economy expanded by 6.0% in October 2025. The average economic growth for the period January to October 2025 has been recorded at 7.6%.
The ministry also noted that the turnover of VAT-registered enterprises increased by 7.0% in October 2025, compared to the same month the previous year. Additionally, 6,075 new enterprises were registered during this period.
“October 2025 saw substantial positive contributions to economic growth from sectors including information and communication, transport and storage, healthcare, financial and insurance activities, real estate, manufacturing, administrative and support services, as well as arts, entertainment and recreation. The favourable trends in foreign trade underpinned the impressive growth over the first ten months.
Between January and October 2025, exports rose by 6.8%, reaching USD 5.8 billion, while domestic exports (excluding re-exports) grew by 4.6% over the same period.
From January to September 2025, income from travel and tourism increased by 5.1% year-on-year, reaching a record USD 3.6 billion.
The upgraded outlook issued by the rating agency Fitch in November 2025 underscores the resilience of the Georgian economy in the face of external shocks.
According to the IMF forecast, Georgia is projected to enjoy the highest medium-term growth in the region and Europe, with an average of 5.4% between 2025 and 2030,” the Ministry of Economy stated in its press release.
