The 10th jubilee edition of Gurjaani Wine Festival was traditionally held at the Akhtala Park of Guraani. This year’s message was Contemporary Legacy, which highlights the uninterrupted link between 8000-year-old Georgian winemaking and modern generations.

“For years, the Wine Festival has turned into an important tradition providing a venue for Georgian winemakers, farmers and entrepreneurs to meet their consumers and establish business relations. This contributes to their business development.

This year, more than 500 entrepreneurs are participating in the festival, further highlighting the event’s scale and significance. The festival welcomes a multitude of Georgian and international visitors, lending a special charm to Kakheti during the fall season.

This event once again portrays the region’s hospitality traditions and contributes to the wine tourism development, popularization of Georgian wine culture and the country’s tourist potential,” said Davit Songhulashvili, Georgian Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture.

The festival aimed to promote Qvevri wine, recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and to foster the development of bottled wine as a high-quality market product. Visitors had the opportunity to taste different wines, visit ethnography and enterpreneur spaces and attend culinary masterclasses.
