Minister of Environment and Agriculture meets with FAO representative in Georgia

Georgian Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Davit Songhulashvili met with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Representative in Georgia, Raimund Jehle.

Both parties discussed future cooperation priorities, emphasizing the EU-supported rural development and agriculture program, ENPARD, in Georgia. This program focuses on the identification and registration of animals, sustainable land management, boosting the dairy sector, and engaging youth in these initiatives.

Davit Songhulashvili expressed gratitude to the FAO for its effective collaboration and contributions to agricultural development in Georgia.

The meeting was also attended by FAO Deputy Representative Mamuka Meskhi and department heads from the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture.
