Minister of Economy: Georgia-Azerbaijan have close economic relations, trade turnover increases YoY

“Georgia and Azerbaijan have close economic relations,” said Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvii.

According to the Minister, Azerbaijan is Georgia’s among 5-top trade partners, and the trade turnover between the countries increases year-on-year. Georgia and Azerbaijan implement joint regional and international projects aimed at energy security.

“We reviewed in detail the perspectives that appear in terms of new projects. This is cooperation in additional energy projects, and this cooperation will continue in the future,” Davitashvili said.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze pays an official visit to Azerbaijan. The Georgian delegation, led by PM Irakli Kobakhidze, comprises First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili and Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili.
