Mikheil Kavelashvili: “Deep state” interested in protracting war
“Georgia was asked, called on to join sanctions, send weapons and volunteers, to be dragged in the war,” said Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili in an interview with the Azerbaijani TV company.
According to Kavelashvili, US President Trump’s administration repeats what the government and People’s Power spoke about.
“In reality and global context, and I mean activities of Donald Trump’s administration, there are some forces which are interested in the war. We constantly speak about the “deep state” which we called a global war party, which was interested in the war’s protracting, for it to last as long as possible.
We were speaking from the beginning about what Trump’s administration says: Georgia was asked to join sanctions, to send volunteers and weapons that were linked to Georgia’s dragging into the war.
Representatives of the previous administration adhered to the pressure path. Today, I speak about Trump’s viewpoints because the line is clearly drawn what the government and People’s Power used to say and what is repeated by Trump’s Administration,” Kavelashvili said.
