Migration officers detain and deport Turkish national wanted by authorities in Türkiye

In a concerted effort to combat illegal migration, officers from the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs apprehended a Turkish national born in 1997, identified as B.G., who was residing in the country without legal authorisation.

Following close cooperation between the Migration Department and the Central Criminal Police, the law enforcement bodies confirmed that the individual was wanted by Turkish law enforcement authorities for several offences, including theft, bodily harm, fraud, and prison escape.

The officers facilitated the deportation of the Turkish national at the Vale border checkpoint, where he was handed over to representatives of Turkish law enforcement for further legal proceedings.

The Migration Department continues to conduct targeted immigration controls to ensure the consistent enforcement of the Law of Georgia on the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons.
