Migration Department deports 61 foreign nationals as annual enforcement figures approach 3,000

Officers from the Migration Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), in coordination with relevant ministry units, have deported 61 foreign nationals from Georgia in recent days.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, comprehensive operations conducted by the Migration Department resulted in the expulsion of 61 individuals holding citizenship of India, Egypt, Turkey, Cuba, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Nigeria, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Burundi, Ethiopia, and Pakistan. In compliance with current legislation, all deported individuals have been issued re-entry bans.

Official statistics for the current year indicate that officers from the Migration Department have deported nearly 3,000 individuals to date. This figure significantly surpasses the total enforcement total recorded in the previous year.
