MIA opens investigation into Gudiashvili Garden incident

The Old Tbilisi Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) opened an investigation into an incident near Gudiashvili Garden on the fact of illegal purchase-keeping carrying of firearms and infliction of minor body injuries.

The MIA confirmed to the GPB’s First Channel that the investigation was launched under Articles 236 and 118 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

“The investigation determined that on May 3, on the territory of Gudiashvili Garden, a conflict took place between undetermined individuals during which two individuals were wounded.

They were taken to a medical clinic, and their health condition was not life-threatening.

Through operative activities, law enforcers identified the person who committed the crime and measures in his detention are underway,” the MIA said.
