Georgia is continuing its efforts in international negotiations in Geneva and is preparing for the next round, stated the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The GPB First Channel addressed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a question regarding the statement from the de facto government of occupied Abkhazia, suggesting Moscow’s desire to move GID from Geneva, possibly to Minsk or Baku. Occupied Abkhazia’s de facto foreign minister, Inal Ardzinba mentioned that “Georgia refuses to engage in political dialogue regarding the signing of a mutually binding agreement on the non-use of force.”
“The format of international negotiations in Geneva is an important platform where the Georgian side, together with international partners, aims to progress on vital issues such as the implementation of the ceasefire agreement of August 12, 2008, humanitarian concerns, and the return of internally displaced persons. Georgia continues and will continue its efforts toward these goals in the international negotiations in Geneva and is preparing for the next round,” stated the Foreign Ministry.
